Supporting Our Community

At Society House, we believe that a dispensary should do more than serve — it should give back. Rooted in the heart of our community, we are proud to lead with purpose through our ongoing social impact programs. From hosting our Super Bowl party in January—where proceeds helped provide over 110 meals at a local food pantry—to this month’s initiative supporting a local homeless organization, we’re committed to rolling out impactful programs year-round. Whether through donations, events, or partnerships, our goal is simple: uplift the people and neighborhoods that make our city thrive.

Current Initiatives

Join us in supporting one of our staff members, Katie Thomas, in her fight with a brain aneurysm. After suffering the loss of her father in 2020 to a burst brain aneurysm, Katie suffered a stroke at work triggered by an aneurysm of her own. She has since partnered with two different organizations, the Brain Injury Association, as well as the Brain Aneurysm Foundation to raise awareness of her medical issues and seek help.

Katie is currently fundraising to secure a seat for the Brain Aneurysm Conference taking place on March 18th where she intends to speak, and to secure financial assistance to help cover medical costs for surgery.

Feeding New York

Through 2025, we partnered with local organizations to provide meals for New Yorkers in need by hosting multiple hot food drives right here in Brooklyn. This past Thanksgiving, we supplied turkeys to more than 300 families – with 312 turkeys to be exact!

Society House Brooklyn is committed to having a positive impact on our community. Keep an eye on our events page for opportunities to join us in serving our neighbors.

We exceeded our goal of 1300 meals last year!
